Townscape and Heritage Adviser
Sophie studied History at the University of Exeter before gaining an MSt in Building History from the University of Cambridge. She joined the Tavernor Consultancy in 2021 as Researcher, becoming Townscape and Heritage Adviser in 2022.
Sophie works alongside the Consultancy’s senior staff on projects, attending team meetings, advising on townscape and heritage matters, presenting material at internal and stakeholder meetings, drafting assessments and co-ordinating the report production. She undertakes archival and desktop research across the Consultancy’s projects – sourcing historic images and plans, preparing heritage maps, writing appraisals of sites and townscape areas, and conducting site visits. She has gained particular experience on sites in and adjacent to conservation areas in the City of Westminster, the City of London, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and in the London Borough of Southwark.
